Data Deletion Instructions

At ContentGenius, we respect your privacy and your right to control your data. If you would like to delete your data associated with our application, please follow the instructions below.

What Data We Collect

  • Your Facebook profile information (name, email)
  • Facebook Page access tokens (for posting functionality)
  • Instagram Business Account ID (if linked)
  • Posts and content you create within the app

How to Request Data Deletion

Option 1: Delete Through Facebook

  1. Go to your Facebook Settings & Privacy
  2. Click on "Settings"
  3. Go to "Apps and Websites"
  4. Find "ContentGenius" in the list
  5. Click "Remove" to revoke access and delete associated data

Option 2: Delete Through ContentGenius Settings

  1. Log in to your ContentGenius account
  2. Go to Settings page
  3. Scroll to the Facebook & Instagram Integration section
  4. Click "Disconnect Facebook" to remove all Facebook-related data
  5. Optionally, you can delete your entire ContentGenius account to remove all data

Option 3: Contact Us Directly

If you prefer, you can send a data deletion request directly to us:

Email: support@content-genius.app

Include:

  • Your full name
  • Email address associated with your account
  • Facebook ID (optional)
  • Request: "I would like to delete all my data from ContentGenius"

What Happens After Deletion

  • Immediate: Your Facebook access tokens are permanently deleted
  • Within 24 hours: All Facebook-related data is removed from our systems
  • Within 30 days: All backups containing your data are purged
  • Note: Any posts already published to Facebook/Instagram will remain on those platforms unless you delete them directly

Response Time

We will process your data deletion request within 30 days of receiving it. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted.
